Ways to Get Involved

As a parent-founded school, GDS simply cannot operate successfully without the volunteer efforts of our dedicated parents. There are numerous ways to become involved.

  • Admissions & New Families

Parent ambassadors are critical to the success of the admissions process and the new families program. Volunteers are needed at all admissions events and serve as LMS tour guides. In the spring and summer, we focus on welcoming and acclimating new families to the GDS community.

  • The Hopper Fund

As a volunteer for The Hopper Fund, you play a crucial role in the success of GDS development efforts and in the health of our School. Volunteers serve as grade or alumni ambassadors and others simply show up at phonathons to make some calls! Responsibilities include: serving as an enthusiastic and energetic representative of The Hopper Fund in letters, emails, and at events; soliciting gifts from parents in your grade or alumni in your class; and attending phonathons with a great team of fun volunteers!
