6th, 7th & 8th Grade Enrichment Classes

We are pleased to share our Winter/Spring 2019 after-school enrichment classes, including some exciting new offerings designed to support students academically, intellectually, physically, and creatively.

Students who opt not to participate in enrichment classes should register for Homework Center. Offered every day to 3rd-8th graders, the Homework Center is quiet space for students to complete their homework under the guidance of GDS teachers and externally hired instructors. The Homework Center is intended as a place for students to complete their homework, ask questions and receive support, and work quietly in small groups. While the Homework Center is not intended for one-on-one tutoring, instructors will provide support to students who need support and will communicate with the classroom teachers about areas where support was given or needed. Students in grades 3-8 who are not enrolled in a class will be required to spend 45 minutes (3rd grade) to 1 hour and 15 minutes (4th-8th grade) in the Homework Center before participating in free-choice activities. In addition, the Homework Center will be open for students who wish to continue their homework from 5pm to 5:45pm daily.
