GDS Policy and Advocacy Institute
For GDS High School students eager to experience and explore the relationship between social justice and policy, the GDS Policy and Advocacy Institute's action-based seminars offer an exciting opportunity for students to take action by engaging in the development and execution of policy and advocacy work.
Fellows will learn the fundamentals of policy development and the relationship between policy and advocacy from experts. They will "live" at the intersection of theory and practice, engaging directly with governmental and non-governmental organizations to understand the challenges and to participate in the development of effective policy and/or advocacy initiatives.
Each seminar is designed to immerse you in deep and practical ways in your chosen area of interest. Through this hands-on experience, you will acquire the understanding and skills needed to develop and to advocate for public policy that can really make a difference.
This program is open to GDS students only. Interested students should contact Catherine Pearson for an application.
