Statement of Support

#WontBeErased
On October 23, 2018, Georgetown Day School shared the following statement of support on our three social media platforms (@gdshoppers on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).

As a School founded on the principles of social justice, we honor the integrity and worth of each individual in a diverse school community. We believe strongly that no child or adult can do their best work unless they feel seen, appreciated, and respected for who they are and who they are becoming. We believe as well that it is not the place of any institution or government to dictate the terms of one’s deepest self-expression.

To all the trans and gender-nonconforming members of our GDS community, know that we see you, love you, and are here with you.
