Georgetown Day School is closed from noon on Friday, March 22 through Tuesday, April 2. All school offices are closed, including Admissions and College Counseling. Any voice or email messages will be returned on April 3. 

During spring break, March 25–29, the Lower/Middle School will host a break camp. To register, visit www.GDS.org/BreakCamp.
Board of Trustees

Josh Wachs

Josh Wachs joined the board in 2017. He serves on the External Affairs Committee.

Josh serves as president of Wachs Strategies, maximizing social impact for nonprofit organizations, corporations, and foundations. Josh draws on over two decades of leadership experience at the nexus of the private sector, government, and nonprofits to help companies and NGO’s create shared value through social change.

Previously, Josh was responsible for developing, implementing, and launching the long-term strategy for the No Kid Hungry Campaign as the chief strategy officer for Share Our Strength. Josh has also served as the National Basketball Association’s vice president of community relations; associate dean at The New School’s Milano School of International Affairs, Management and Urban Policy; and the chief operating officer of the Democratic National Committee.

Josh and his wife, Molly Levinson, have three children at GDS – Henry (class of 2026), Lulu (class of 2027) and Livvy (class of 2029).
