GDS is closed for spring break.

Georgetown Day School is closed from noon on Friday, March 22 through Tuesday, April 2. All school offices are closed, including Admissions and College Counseling. Any voice or email messages will be returned on April 3.

During spring break, March 25–29, the Lower/Middle School will host a break camp. To register, visit www.GDS.org/BreakCamp.

When there is a possibility of severely inclement weather or other emergency situation, school closure information will be posted at www.gds.org and sent via email to all parents, high school students, and faculty and staff as well as made available via announcements on WMAL (630 AM) and WTOP (103.5 FM) radio and ABC-7, NBC-4, and FOX-5 TV.

A voice message will also be on the school main phones lines:
Lower/Middle School: 202-295-6200
High School: 202-274-3200

Messages and announcements about a snow day or delayed opening are posted on the school website and emailed by 6:30 a.m.

Note:

School is closed if it is determined that conditions are hazardous. Once the school is open, we DO NOT close early for weather conditions, but parents may pick up their children early if they wish. When there is a high probability of improved weather conditions later in the day, we will have a delayed opening. This is also announced on the GDS website, via email, and the main phone lines at each campus.

Parents should make sure that all families involved in their carpools are notified of schedule changes.
