Our winter athletes have come storming out of the gates this season. With two tournament victories and multiple medals already racked up, there are great things in store for the rest of the season.

Notable Results
  • Both Men’s and Women’s Varsity Basketball teams won the GDS Hopper Holiday Invitational.
  • The Women’s 4x400 meter "A" relay team (Nevada Lomax ’20, Ella Gillespie ’21, Nadia Fairfax ’22, and Ruby Kaplan ’21) ran 4:22.74 to finish 3rd, and freshman Malachi Cheeks finished second in the Men’s 300 meter dash in a time of 40.01.
  • Junior Ziyah Holman raced in the Ed Bowie Invitational winning the 300 meter dash in 41.18 and finishing second in the 500 meter run (despite being tripped with 100 meters to go) in a time of 1:19.34. While Ziyah was the only GDS athlete to compete at the meet, she earned GDS a 14th place team finish out of the 65 schools attending the meet!
