Substitute Teachers 2018-2019

Georgetown Day School, an independent Pre-K-12 school, seeks substitute teachers for the 2018-2019 school year. Substitute teachers are needed in all subjects and at all three divisions.  While most substitute positions are for one or two days, long-term substitute positions do, on occasion, open. As a diverse, inclusive school devoted to social justice and preparing students to live and work in an increasingly globalized and multicultural society, GDS is particularly interested in professionals with demonstrated interest and experience in working in such a school setting.

This position is paid at a daily rate. In applying, individuals should indicate the subjects and the age group they feel most qualified to teach.

Essential qualifications include a B.A. or B.S. degree in the relevant discipline and teaching experience.

To Apply: Submit a cover letter, resume, statement of educational philosophy, and a list of three references using our online application system. To apply and to find out more about the school, candidates should visit our website at
