Jenny Abramson '95, Chair

Jenny Abramson '95 joined the board in 2013. She chairs the board and also serves as ex officio on all committees.

Jenny (@abramsonjenny) is a CEO turned venture capitalist and is the founder and managing partner of Rethink Impact, the largest, US-based impact venture capital firm with a gender lens. She invests in female leaders using technology to tackle major challenges in education, health, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment.

Jenny is a proven executive and entrepreneur having held a range of leadership roles across the impact tech space—in education, personal data, and media. She has been covered in Forbes, on CNN, in The New York Times, and in The Washington Post, interviewed on Squawk Box, featured at SXSW, at the Code Conference, at the United Nations, and on Capitol Hill, and was named Top 40 Under 40, a DC Power Women in Tech, and a DC Tech Titan.

Beyond being a proud GDS alum, Jenny received a BA and MA from Stanford and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. She was also a Fulbright Scholar with a focus on human genomics at The London School of Economics.

Jenny and her husband, Jake Maas, have two kids (Zoe '26 and Ella '28) at GDS and a future hopper (Alex) at home.
