Short, unscripted scenes and theatre games - such as those seen on Whose Line is it Anyway? - are considered short-form improvisation. This class introduces students to a style of acting that encourages spontaneous characters, quick thinking, and interesting conflict choices. Students work in the format of games and scenes - which address important theatre skills such as listening, confidence of choices, believability, timing, and teamwork - to develop intuitive and exciting performers. Classwork culminates in an informal, digital sharing that showcases the skills students have developed throughout the session.
