  • into 2020
As we gear up for an unprecedented 2020-21 school year, Georgetown Day School has been doing all we can to prepare.

Together with input from our reopening committees, Parent Public Health Panel, and our faculty and staff, in consultation with and with the support of the Board of Trustees, and in line with local county school decisions, our Leadership Team has made the decision that we will be starting off the 2020-21 school year with students and teachers engaging in GDS’s Virtual Campus (i.e., academic distance learning). We plan to revisit this decision on November 1, with the understanding that this timeline could be accelerated or extended depending on public health considerations and the evolution of the impact of the COVID-19 virus on our region. A decision to return to campus will be made by school leadership and the Board of Trustees in consultation with our Public Health Panel.
