Jeff Goldberg joined Live Wire’s team after an extensive career as a television news reporter. Most recently, he spent five years as Northern Virginia bureau chief for WJLA-TV (ABC7 News).
During his time working at ABC7 News, Jeff covered the corruption trial of former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell, the race for governor in Virginia in 2013, US Senate races in Virginia in 2012 and 2014, the search for UVA student Hannah Graham and the arrest and trial of suspect Jesse Matthew. On a day-to-day basis Jeff covered a wide variety of stories across Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun counties, as well as many stories in DC and Maryland.
After graduating from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Jeff worked at TV news stations in Montana, Florida, California, and Minnesota. He has won two Emmy awards for reporting and has earned multiple nominations.
Jeff served on the GDS Alumni Board from 2014-18 and has continued to serve GDS as an involved alumnus. He is thrilled to be a part of all the exciting things happening at the school.
