Make Art that’s All You
GDS’s Studio and Visual Arts programs spark creativity and self-expression, giving students the tools and freedom to experiment, create, and bring their ideas to life in a vibrant, hands-on environment.
Program Highlights

LS Visual Arts
At the GDS Lower School, young artists build confidence as they dive into hands-on creative experiences. From 1st through 4th grade, students explore a wide range of artistic techniques in our bright, sun-filled studios—experimenting with various media and developing their own unique artistic voices.

MS Visual Arts
By Middle School, students transition from a foundational core curriculum in 5th and 6th grade to enrichment opportunities in 7th and 8th grade that invite deeper artistic exploration. With increased autonomy, they work at their own pace, take on long-term projects, and begin to develop a more personal connection to their creative process.

HS Studio Arts
At the High School level, students deepen their connection to the visual arts through a dynamic curriculum designed for all experience levels. In an encouraging and creative environment, they build technical skills, develop a personal artistic voice, and grow as critical thinkers. Through exposure to multicultural, contemporary, and historical art movements, students also gain a broader understanding of art’s role in shaping and reflecting the world around them.
