    Thank you for your interest in Georgetown Day School! Our application process for the 2020-21 school year will be posted in early September. For now, please "explore" with us on Ravenna so we can stay in touch. We hope you enjoy the last few weeks of summer!

Applying to GDS

Thank you for your interest in Georgetown Day School! We are looking forward to getting to know you and your family as you engage with us during the admissions process.

Please create an account in Ravenna and sign up for an on-campus interview as the first official step in the application process. Ravenna is a web-based application service that allows us to receive applications and schedule interviews, tours, and open houses.

How to Apply

  • Applying to Pre-kindergarten or Kindergarten

    Step 1: Create an account in Ravenna
    Step 2: Sign up for a Parent Interview in Ravenna
    Step 3: Complete Your Application in Ravenna
    Step 4: Sign Up for Your Child’s Play Visit (will be scheduled during your parent interview)

    Optional, at any time: Attend a Parent Tour, Open House, and/or Tour & Information Session
  • Applying to Grades 1-5

    Step 1: Create an account in Ravenna
    Step 2: Sign up for a Parent Interview in Ravenna
    Step 3: Complete Your Application in Ravenna
    Step 4: Sign Up for Your Child’s Student Visit (will be scheduled during your parent interview)

    Optional, at any time: Attend a Parent Tour, Open House, and/or Tour & Information Session
  • Applying to Middle School (Grades 6-8)

Using Ravenna to Apply to GDS

To begin your application, go to Ravenna and create an account. Be sure to create your account using an email address you will have access to throughout the admission season, as this will be your primary email contact with our school.

Once you create an account in Ravenna, you will be able to view the application steps specific to the grade level(s) to which you are applying. In Ravenna, you will also be able to request teacher recommendations and other information from your student’s school, as well as track the status of your application process. For assistance with the Ravenna application software, please contact Ravenna directly.

Georgetown Day School is a coed, preK-12, non-sectarian private school in Washington, DC with small class sizes and a diverse school community.
