July Town Hall 2018

The first Town Hall meeting was held at Georgetown Day School High School in the forum. In attendance from Georgetown Day School was Jeffrey Houser, Kristina Lennox, and Lauren Dickert. In attendance from DAVIS Construction was Chris Hartzler, Chad Oursler, and Tim Fedder. Jim Wilson from JFW Project Management was also in attendance.

The objective of the Town Hall was to present the Construction Management Plan to address possible questions about the construction of the new Lower / Middle School at the former Safeway site. GDS and DAVIS committed to maintaining open communication to the community via continued, monthly Town Hall meetings and routine updates posted on the School Unification section of the GDS website. Updates will include construction activity milestones from the past month and a description of what is expected to occur in the coming month. GDS will follow this routine until the project is completed.

The Construction Management Plan and Site Logistics Plan I Construction Staging Map are living documents that are subject to change. Major topics of conversation were regarding the traffic entrance and exit to the site, hours of operation, noise control, and the anticipated start date. The next scheduled Town Hall meeting will be on Monday, August 13, at the Georgetown Day School High School.
