GDS Will Not File PUD Application this Month
Since our last update, the DC Court of Appeals overturned a decision by the Zoning Commission. The PUD in the Durant case had been unanimously approved by the Zoning Commission, and also supported by the ANC and the Office of Planning. While the PUD in the Durant case is not identical to GDS’s, there are enough similarities that GDS intends to pause and reflect on our PUD application.

GDS remains committed to campus unification. In the wake of the recent Durant case, GDS intends to spend the summer analyzing various options for the retail/residential project and weighing those options against potential benefits and risks. GDS will also use this time to continue making progress on the program development associated with the Lower/Middle School.
