The 75th Anniversary Speaker Series continued this month with “Entertainment in the Time of COVID,” featuring GDS alumni Kelly AuCoin ’85, Terence Carter ’97, Gina Gionfriddo ’87, Ethan Slater ’10, and A.J. Weissbard ’91 and moderated by High School performing arts chair Laura Rosberg.

The alumni panelists discussed where they were when the industry ground to a halt, highlighted examples of where showrunners, actors, and writers are innovating during the pandemic, and talked about projects they’ve taken on in the COVID environment. 

The next 75th Anniversary Speaker Series event is the Benjamin Cooper Memorial Lecture on November 18. That event, honoring the legacy of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, will feature U.S. District Judge Ketanji Jackson, U.S. Circuit Judge Nina Pillard, Representative Jamie Raskin ’79, and NPR correspondent Nina Totenberg.
