Pride Week at GDS featured several new cross-divisional collaborations. Special guest Yosimar Reyes spoke about his experiences as a DREAMer and a queer person of color at keynote addresses for both the Middle and High School students and faculty. Additional classroom lessons and activities continued throughout the school buildings and online during MS and HS Virtual Campus Wednesday.
So far this week, students have participated in hands-on Pride button making and joined virtual read alouds. High School students have read to their Lower School counterparts during lunch. We look forward to the day when these cross-divisional activities can be in person.
We also look forward to sharing a community Pride video with submissions from throughout our GDS community.
