Carrying on a long-running tradition of preparing food and dining as a community, High School students and staff enjoyed a social breakfast following their return from Spring Break. There were chocolate-chip pancakes on the griddle, fresh scrambled eggs, cinnamon French toast, piping hot waffles, made-to-order parfaits, muffins, bagels, and fresh fruit. In short, there was a wide variety of items to make even those reluctant to return from Break feel a bit more ready to dive back into school. The best part? Watching students and staff as they sat in mixed clusters around the Forum to break bread together. They talked together, ate together, and—later—listened to four of the GDS acapella groups perform.
Many thanks to the 12 clubs/affinity groups/etc. who ran stations, the maintenance team for setting up the tables, and GDS HS office manager Kelly Morris for organizing.
