In 7th and 8th grade enrichment art, students explored race, racism, and stereotypes through visual media. By watching snippets of documentaries, discussions in class, and examining various artists’ work, students were asked to reflect on these concepts. They were then tasked with creating a two-dimensional piece that addressed these topics, either celebrating racial differences or critiquing racism and stereotypes.
Each artwork's description is paramount to understanding the individual piece. Please click the information button for each work of art to learn more about its creation.
This exhibition will close on August 31, 2021.
