Women’s Varsity Swimming came in 9th at the Washington Metropolitan Prep School Swim Dive Team (WMPSSDL) Championships. The von Friedeburg sisters Frannie ’13 and Lexi ’16 came in came in 2nd and 1st place in diving respectively and Katherine Novey '16 finished in 10th.
Schuyler Bailar ’14 came in 4th place in the 200-yard butterfly and 1st place in the 100-yard breaststroke, Morgan Mayer ’16 came in 10th place in the 100-yard breaststroke, and Meredith Bergman ’15 finished 13th in the 100-yard backstroke.
Schuyler came in 2nd place in the 200 IM and 1st place in the 100 yard Breaststroke at February 3 Metros, which included all private and public schools in the DC Metro area. Thirty-five girls competed. Frannie finished in 13th (four places better then last year) and Lexi finished in 7th—a great end for the season.

Men’s Varsity Swimming came in 11th place at the WMPSDDL Championships. Alex Pavlakis '14 took 5th place in the 200-yard IM and 6th place in the 100-yard backstroke, Scott Callander '15 took 10th place in the 100-yard fly, and Jinwon Bailar ’16 came in in 8th place in the 100-yard freestyle and 11th place in the 100-yard backstroke.
Men’s Indoor Track & Field finished in 4th place at the Private School Invitational at which Michael Bassett '13, Sam Boardman '14, Griffin Colaizzi '14, and Billy Cox '13 claimed 1st place in the 4x800 relay race with a time of 8:21.
Women’s Indoor Track & Field finished in 8th place at the Private School Invitational; in the 3200m run, Katherine Treanor '16 finished in 1st place and Cassidy Paradis '16 in 3rd.
Women’s Varsity Basketball defeated Holton, Stone Ridge, and Sidwell and then followed that with a win over 11th ranked Bullis in a very exciting 46-42 game.
Wrestling won its first dual match against McLean School, with victories by Julia Ernst '14, Alastair Hicklin-Coorey '13, Tyler Hollinger '15, Neal Ratha '16, and Andrew Saba '13. Julia finished in 4th place at the St. Albans Wrestling Tournament held February 8 & 9. Awesome job!
