Hopper Day Camp for Children Age 5 to Rising Fifth Grade

Hopper Day Camp offers children a variety of activities ranging from traditional sports, art, drama, and music camp programs to nature club and community service activities to fun and educational electives such as “Dr. Hopper’s Mad Science Lab,” “The Secret Lives of Dinosaurs,” and “Artists and Their Work.”

Learn to Type Like a Pro

GDS is pleased to once again offer its annual touch typing course for Lower School students. Designed to teach students the basics of keyboarding, this class is both fun and practical. Learn more by clicking on the link above.

Before and After Camp Care at the GDS LMS Campus

Now offering After Camp Care for our Middle School AcademAction Program!!!

To accommodate the busy schedules of our campers and their parents, GDS offers Before and After Camp Care for campers participating in most programs serving children age 5 to rising 8th grade: Hopper Day Camp, Hop-into-Math Camp, Hopper Soccer, Hopper Hoops, and Middle School AcademAction.

Spend a Week in Harper's Ferry, WV

Take Research Out of High School and Into the Field This Summer

The GDS High School Research Conference is specifically designed with motivated high school students in mind. For four weeks, High School Researchers will work with a faculty advisor in small groups of 4 to 6 to research one of several subjects through a combination of library, lab, interview, observational, experiential, and lecture-based research. I wish I'd learned THAT in school!

So many students leave high school and college with a variety of strong academic and social successes, but without knowledge about basic but important life skills such as balancing a check book, cooking a healthy meal, fixing a leaky toilet, and writing an eye catching cover letter. In GDS's Life 101, high school and college graduates will gather on 4 Saturdays for hands-on workshops designed to teach what was not taught in school or college.
