Supporting the Mission of the School
Since its founding in 1945, Georgetown Day School has grown from a seven-student experiment to a 1,050 student, nationally recognized school on two campuses in Northwest DC. This growth has been supported by our community of parents, alumni, faculty/staff, parents of alumni, and students through generous gifts of time and resources. All gifts to GDS—annual, special events, capital, or endowment—help us to strengthen our mission to honor each individual student and promote a lifelong love of learning.
Like all independent schools, GDS relies on philanthropic gifts, endowment income, and auxiliary programs in addition to tuition revenue to meet our annual operating expenses and the School’s long-term needs.
