Hoppers Go Green

Welcome to a new section of the web site created to inform the GDS community of actions the school is taking to be more eco-friendly, and to share ideas and accomplishments. Hoppers Go Green includes a sampling of green initiatives underway at GDS. Find out what we've already accomplished, what we look forward to improving, how you can be more green at home and in the community, and how to support GDS green efforts.

This section is also intended as a resource to support the School's sustainability policy (read the Board-approved Sustainability and Climate Change Policy Statement as well as environmental recommendations in the school's Strategic Plan). Recently, the Board has begun an Environmental Committee in conjunction with its Buildings and Grounds Committee. In the fall of 2007 the faculty began a "Green Push" and its committee members meet monthly and have implemented many new green initiatives.

For more information, follow the links at the left. As Hoppers Go Green is still in its infancy, please check back periodically to see how it grows, and do e-mail webmaster@gds.org with any items to be included in this section.
