The Georgetown Day High School crew program was launched in 1995 by a small group of enthusiastic parents and interested students, relying on rented equipment and the goodwill of the local rowing fraternity. Since then the team has grown to approximately forty members with its own equipment and has become a full GDS Varsity/Novice sport. While competing at the top levels, the GDS crew continues to embody the values of inclusiveness, commitment, and teamwork that make rowing such a great lifelong activity. Our Co-Head Coach for Men’s Varsity is Tricia MacKay and a search is underway for a Women’s/Novice coach. Our co-captains for the Men's team are Seniors Jed Lenzner and Nick Guzman. Our co-captains for the Women's team are Seniors Jenna Queenan and Taylor Ray. The Team members want to thank all of their supporters, especially their parents, the GDS Administration, and NCASRA for making it possible to participate in this great sport.
