2005-2006 Sixth Grade Art

Sixth grade students examine more formal elements of design. Positive and negative space are explored in two and three dimensions. Closer attention is paid to detail, complexity, and formal composition, with emphasis on planning and execution. Students are encouraged to apply their individual creativity through a variety of assignments that include linoleum cut printmaking, collage, painting, perspective drawing, and clay construction.
